Which brake pads on Willwood brake kit?

  • The majority of members of this forum are from Germany, Austria or Switzerland. Unfortunately to the best of my knowledge there is no way to legally drive the 4 piston or 6 piston Wilwood brakes in one of these countries. This means that there probably is not going to be a broad user base with hands-off experience.

You might have some lock with users from the Netherlands or Luxemburg, where things seem to be a bit easier sometimes (or they are just cooler than we are :) ).

If you did not get a response from BBR GTI within 5 days don't hesitate to give them a call. There could be various reasons why an email might be overlooked. Just make sure that your message came through and I'm confident you'll be getting an answer.

  • Addendum:

According to www.wilwood.com there is only one 6-piston front caliper for the ND, which is included in the family of #140-14234 Front Brake Kits. According to the search result the caliper part numbers are 120-13439-XX (left hand) and 120-13438-XX (right hand), where -XX only denotes the color.

These Forged Dynapro 6A calipers require Wilwood pad type #6712. It's available in different compounds, but BP10 is what Good-Win-Racing suggests for street use, and BP20 for dual purpose street/track use. BBR also references the BP20 compound.

You might want to check with the part numbers of your actual calipers. This is just from the Internet. :D
