Symphony Acoustics VTA Adjuster and Lock Nut

    for Rega RB250 RB300 RB600 Tone Arms

Our CNC precision machined aluminium VTA (Vertical Tracking Angle) Arm Adjuster and Lock Nut kits have been designed for the range of Rega arms (RB-250, RB-300 and RB-600) that use a threaded base. Once installed, the user can adjust the vertical tracking angle in minute increments without losing the rigid mounting so important to proper sound reproduction. Simply back off the nut, and turn the Adjuster clock or counter clockwise to raise the VTA height of the tone arm. The speed locking nut then allows a quick 'nip' of the set position, by hand, with no required tools and therefore no fear over over-tightening.
Please note - The VTA Arm Adjuster is designed to be used with the newer style Rega arm board Michell have been making since the beginning of 1999. If used with other turntable brands, slight enlargement of the original Rega mounting hole may be necessary to accommodate the increased diameter of the VTA sleeve (approx 1 1/8”).
The VTA adjustor, at its minimum setting, raises the tone arm by 1.75mm, which is slightly less than the thinnest shim (2mm) that Rega manufactures.

Allows precision VTA adjustment to get the most out of your cartridge
Another benefit is the lock nut weighs considerably less than the original Rega supplied one - great for suspended turntables!
Fitted in minutes even by the most hamfisted audiophile!

    Notes:
    - Not compatible with the newer Rega 3-point mounting arms
    - When using with an RB250, please remove the plastic bush at the top of the arm threaded base to expose the the brass body to allow the arm to drop inside the VTA adjuster

2.) Rega Silicone Motor Suspension Belt

This Buy It Now listing is for a red Silicone upgrade motor suspension belt for all rega record decks. This belt is responsible for holding/ suspending the motor in position on the deck whilst also decoupling it from the turntable base to avoid transmision of motor noise & vibration through the deck back to the stylus.

Please see "how to fit" guide photos below showing the removal of old black belt and its replacement with this new upgrade red silicone suspension belt.

This belt is of the same size diameter / cross section as the original manufactures equipment and is made from an upgraded high quality silicone material (the same as the upgrade drive belts I have for sale) .. the result :
...it works prfectly, securely crading the motor whilst absording movement & vibration.

This is NOT an original rega branded item, but as mentioned above it is a compatible part made of quality, high grade silicone material, with identical dimensions. I have tested /fitted these motor suspension belts to rega planar decks and found them to perform correctly.

3.) Rega ball bearing for platter base

This Buy It Now listing is for a "Through Hardened" Chrome Steel Ball bearing of the correct size and specification to be used at the bottom of the main platter bearing on your Rega deck. Item is brand new and unused, in stock & ready to be despatched.

Fits ALL rega decks and many Rega "clones" such as the NAD 533 , Moth Alamo , Goldring GR1 / 1.2

This ball bearing is of the highest quality, to keep your deck spinning smoothly. Precision engineered to grade 10 roundness & made from Chromium AISI 52100 steel. Hardened to 60-67 Rockwell Scale equivalent to 700-900 HV (Vickers Scale) and importantly, hardened all the way through the ball.

The same hardened steel balls are used to manufacture bearing assemblies

    • Material : AISI 52100 Chrome Steel
    • Min Crush Load: 1370kg
    • Hardness : 60-67 HRC
    • Hardness Depth: Through Hardened
    • Corrosion Resistance: Keep Oiled

(Note: equivalent graded 316 Stainless steel ball bearing have a hardness of just 25 - 39 on the Rockwell Scale.)

Why not use a stainless bearing ?

These chrome steel bearings are superior to stainless steel ball bearings for this task of turntable bearing, simply because they are much harder, so will resist wear better, keeping a shiny, smooth, precisely round surface for your vinyl sounds to spin on.

..Stainless steel ball bearings "advantage" over chrome, is that it can be used in harsh / wet / salty environments, as they are resistant to corrosion caused by sea water, bleaches, dyes, inks and many chemicals and acids etc ...non of which should be present at the bottom of your turntable bearing shaft! (only nice clean oil should be down there, keeping this ball bearing company :)
