• For vehicles equipped with LSD, an asymmetric LSD which allows the optimum torque bias ratio * to be set foracceleration and deceleration has been adopted. With the adoption of an asymmetric LSD, handling stability, accelerationperformance, and straight line driving performance have been improved. • The differential limiting force during turning varies depending on the load condition of the tire. • The asymmetric-LSD is a torque-sensing type that provides improved driving stability due to the following characteristics: ― Improved handling stability by setting the optimum torque bias ratio for acceleration and deceleration (torque bias ratio during acceleration: 1.7, torque bias ratio during deceleration: 2.3) ― Initial torque is applied to provide improved starting from a standstill and acceleration/deceleration response, and to improve straight line driving (initial torque during acceleration: 26 N·m {2.7 kgf·m, 19 ft·lbf}, initial torque during deceleration: –34 N·m {–3.5 kgf·m, –25 ft·lbf} |
